The Emporia City Commission approved a development agreement with Fairview Hotels LLC Tuesday morning in a move that helps ensure the successful construction and sustainability of the $17.1 million hotel and conference center project.
The Emporia City Commission signaled plans to rescind a resolution placing one of the city’s parks up for potential development Tuesday afternoon. The move came a day after a petition to save Quaker Park was delivered to the City Manager’s office.
